Favas Contadas 2.0

So do you remember my last post about the restaurant Conceito Food Store (if you don't... go check it! it's worth it)...

In that post I wrote about the dinner that they planned called " Two nights in Japan", the first one integrated in the "Favas Contadas", which, by the way, was a success... two nights completely sold out...

A second event is coming! and this time it looks even better... You want to know why? Because this dinner will be prepared only by pastry chefs!!!!... This can only mean one thing... I will fulfill one of my childhood dreams... DESSERT FOR DINNER!!


Let me explain, the theme of this dinner will be "As aparências iludem" (Appearances can be deceptive)... which mean that all the dish will have surprises (I like that =P). As I already told, this will be a Pastry Chef Dinner... and the names are:

Of course Chef Daniel Estriga, the owner of Conceito Food Store, this chef open this place 3 years ago but before that worked with Chef Paulo Morais (Restaurant UMAI), with Chef Bertílio Gomes, with Chef Miguel Castro e Silva (Largo Restaurant).

Since the dessert of the last dinner was a great success the Pastry Chef Diogo Lopes will be one of the invited chef. This chef has shown great potential and, above all, great talent for pastry. He is currently working at Penha Longa Resort (5-star hotel located at Sintra) and has already worked at some of the best restaurants like The Fat Duck and Dinner by Heston (both lead by Heston Blumenthal, in London), Pollen Street Social (London) or Vila Joya. Due his work record we can only expect great thing and great desserts.

Pastry Chef José Pedro is also confirmed. This chef is currently working at Feitoria Restaurant (with a michelin star) at Altis Belém and he has develop his career mainly in 5-star hotels. Recently he was part of the team of the dinner "Origens" lead by the Chef João Rodrigues... and he is the winner of Chocolatier of the year 2014.

Pastry Chef Sara Soares will be the only pastry girl invited. Sara currently own her own bussiness, a pastry store called "Pastelaria Alves & Soares", works at Tivoli Vitória (5-star hotel) and has already worked at Belmond Reid's Palace (5-star hotel) and in the The Oitavos (with the chef Joaquim Sousa) .
